This year we wanted the Christmas gift for our customers to have an added value and be in line with our understanding of social responsibility. For this reason, we have opted for batches prepared in collaboration with the Alba Association, an entity that transforms each product into an opportunity for inclusion and a future for many people in the territory.
The Alba Association is a social entity that accompanies people with disabilities, mental health problems and other vulnerable groups so that they can build a dignified and meaningful life project. It does this by offering personalised care and support services, training resources and job opportunities that put the person at the centre.
Through different areas and services, Alba works to guarantee people's inclusion and quality of life, promoting autonomy, participation in the community and respect for diversity. Its links with the territory and the network of collaborating entities and companies make a real and sustained social impact over time possible.
Alba promotes multiple projects and services with a clear focus on social and solidarity economy, which combine attention to people with the creation of job opportunities. One of its star projects is El Rosal, a century-old artisan biscuit bakery in Tàrrega that they took over to give it a social focus, generating employment for some 15 people with intellectual disabilities.
Other initiatives include:
Job placement programmes and services to companies that create adapted jobs, with personalised itineraries to facilitate access to the labour market.
Cultural and artistic projects that give visibility to people's abilities and break down stereotypes.
Leisure activities and community participation that promote emotional well-being.
The Christmas parcels that our customers have received are part of this social enterprise model, including products such as biscuits from El Rosal, The programme is designed in inclusive work environments where the participants bring effort and dedication to the work.
Each batch is much more than a selection of products:
Behind are workshops such as El Rosal, where traditional biscuits such as “arrugats” are produced with quality ingredients, generating real job opportunities.
Each commission contributes to sustaining these projects and strengthening their impact on the territory.
Betting on the lots of the Alba Association, with products from El Rosal, was a decision aligned with our commitment to social responsibility. It reflects values such as proximity and inclusion, making every gift a concrete contribution to projects that improve lives.
