At Karmina, our collaboration with REDESSA, the Reus City Council's municipal company for economic promotion, has been key to consolidating a relationship of trust that has allowed us to provide creative and effective solutions.
We have collaborated on various projects over time, and on this occasion, we were in charge of designing the visual identity for the first edition of the TIC Catalunya Sud Awards, a key event to recognise and reward the most innovative technology companies in the region.
The TIC Catalunya Sud Awards: A Recognition of Innovation
On 18 September 2024, the Foyer Marià Fortuny at firaReus was the setting for this event, which rewarded technology companies and projects that made a significant contribution to the economic and social development of the Catalunya Sud region. With categories such as Disruptive Technology, Growth and Expansion, Best Start-up, Sustainability and Green Technology, and Women's Leadership in Technology, these awards were consolidated as a key platform to showcase the impact of technological innovation in the region.
Innovative Design for a Unique Event
The challenge for our creative team was to move away from conventional designs for tech events, which tend to rely on colours such as deep blue and black. Instead, we sought to bring freshness and originality. Thus, we created a mesh of colours that moves dynamically, forming a striking and modern gradient. This design not only stands out visually, but also reflects the innovation of the event and its focus on the future of technology.
One of our team's greatest assets is their ability to adapt and transform ideas into functional designs for any medium. In this case, we not only created an attractive and modern graphic, but we were also able to take it to multiple formats with the same essence.
In addition to the visual identity for the event, our team was responsible for adapting various online and offline materials, ensuring a consistent presence across all channels. From digital banners and posters for physical spaces to adaptations for newspapers and event screens, our design was implemented in a variety of formats to ensure maximum visibility and impact at every stage of the event.
“The ability to adapt to any challenge is what allows us to offer creative solutions at all levels,” explains the Karmina design team.
Trends in Design: Innovation and Adaptation
The use of vibrant gradients and bold colours has become a key trend in graphic design, especially for technology events. This choice not only responds to the visual aesthetics of the event, but also to a shift towards a more dynamic and immersive design. Minimalism in terms of the presentation of information has also been another important feature we have adopted, providing clarity and ease of understanding for attendees.
At Karmina, we always strive to stay at the forefront of trends, adapting to the changing needs of our clients and the sector.
The creation of the visual identity of the TIC Catalunya Sud Awards reflects our ability to innovate and follow new paths in graphic design, always maintaining a fresh and modern approach.
